The scientific activities of InRaSS have been broadly grouped under ten Scientific Commissions in the same way as Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale (URSI). Each of these Commissions covers a specific piece of the electromagnetic spectrum and its associated technical applications. There exist overlapping research activities between two or more Commissions covering common areas. The following are the ten Commissions A – K.
